10-day, 9-night tour of the Imperial Cities

Overview:

Imperial Cities of Morocco

The Imperial Cities offer a fascinating journey through the past, present, and future of Morocco — a country deeply connected to Europe not only geographically but also culturally and historically. Once part of the vast Roman Empire, Morocco has always served as a bridge between Europe and Africa.

These wonderful cities, born more than a thousand years ago, captivate visitors with their maze-like medinas, narrow streets lined with shops, markets, and colorful stalls that reveal the vibrant soul of North Africa. In Morocco, life happens on the streets — places of exchange, connection, and celebration.
Visiting the Imperial Cities is a unique experience where Marrakech’s labyrinthine alleys, Rabat’s majestic boulevards, and Casablanca’s modern skyline coexist in harmony.

Day 04 Guided Tour of Fes

After breakfast, discover Fes — the most ancient of Morocco’s imperial cities and a treasure of history and culture. Your local guide will lead you through the old medina, full of artisan workshops, spice stalls, and carpet vendors. Don’t miss the Chouara Tannery, famous for its colorful dyeing pits and centuries-old craft.

Visit the Karaouine Mosque, regarded as the world’s oldest university and a beacon of Islamic scholarship. Continue through the Mellah (Jewish quarter) and to the pottery workshops that produce Fes’s famous blue ceramics.
Lunch and dinner not included. Overnight stay included.

Day 05 Fes – Meknes – Moulay Idriss Zerhoun – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, depart for the Blue City, Chefchaouen. En route, visit Meknes, once an imperial capital, and Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a sacred city that only opened to non-Muslims in 1916. Stop to explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, one of North Africa’s best-preserved archaeological sites. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the afternoon.
Lunch and dinner not included. Overnight stay included.

Day 06 Chefchaouen – Tangier – Asilah

Visit Cap Spartel and the Cave of Hercules, both steeped in history and mythology. Continue to Asilah, a charming coastal town known for its beaches, murals, and ocean sunsets.
Lunch and dinner not included. Overnight stay included.

Day 07 Asilah – Rabat

After breakfast, drive to Rabat, the elegant capital of Morocco. Visit the Hassan Tower, the unfinished minaret of a great mosque envisioned in 1189. Continue to the Kasbah des Oudayas, a stunning white-and-blue quarter overlooking the sea. Wander through its Andalusian gardens and narrow alleys before returning to your Riad.
Lunch and dinner not included. Overnight stay included.

Day 08 Rabat – Casablanca – Essaouira

After breakfast, travel to Casablanca and visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque — the only mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslims. Its stunning architecture blends modern design with traditional artistry. Continue to Essaouira, where your Riad awaits for the night.
Lunch and dinner not included. Overnight stay included.

Day 09 Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Essaouira at your own pace. This seaside town, with its white-and-blue buildings, artisan shops, and fishing port, offers a perfect mix of European and Moroccan charm. In the evening, return to Marrakech.
Lunch not included. Dinner and overnight stay included.

Day 10 Marrakech – Departure

After breakfast, free time before your departure flight. Three and a half hours before your flight, transfer back to the airport for your return home.

Take with you the memory of a land of a thousand colors, sounds, scents, and contrasts — where ancient Berber traditions blend with modern architecture, where desert light softens in the labyrinths of the Medinas, and where donkeys and luxury SUVs share the same roads. Morocco will forever remain a true wonder.
